GenSan Summer Youth Festival 2018 Updated
From April 16 to May 31, youths from all walks of life in the 26 barangays will converge on the biggest youth festival in the city.
On its 4th year now, activities are already lined up for this more than a month-long celebration of the youth, Youth Affairs & Development Office Elmer Cequina said.
“Sporting events with workshops, performing arts with workshops, to name a few,” he said.
A forum for discussion on Youth Convergence for the Children In Conflict with the Law(CICLs) and a Youth Camp dubbed as Padayon: Batang May Pangarap will also be conducted.
This year’s chosen venue for the Camp will be the Queen Tuna Park.
The Summerlympics sporting event with clinics will be thru the participation of the City Sports and Games Development Office headed by its Division Chief Lady Manalo.
“Game events are already prepared and scheduled,” Manalo said.
Song and dance competitions are also lined-up for the participation of the attending youth namely Gensan Music Camp, I-Sing Competition, Choral, Pop Vocal, Voices & Beats, Beat Box, Rap, Spoken Poetry, Ballroom Dancing, Dancsports, Hip Hop, Cheerdance.
Other regular events are Film-making Workshop, Painting, Photography and Band Explo.(CPIO/Sulit/RSC)
