Mayor Rivera commits to increase scholars
GENERAL SANTOS CITY- “We will have an increase of scholars 10% per year, that’s a commitment”, City Mayor Ronnel Rivera said during the Memorandum of Agreement signing with partner schools for EduKAR on Friday, July 05, 2019 at Oval Court.
The Memorandum of Agreement has been approved by the 18th City Council headed by former Vice Mayor Shirlyn Bañas-Nograles.
According to Mr. Phillip Pabelic, from more than four hundred scholars last year, EduKAR has now a total of 1,134 scholars.
The City Mayor gave thanks to the partner schools and to the 18th council for their support for EduKAR.
“Sa atong mga partner schools, thank you very much. Nalipay gyud ko because well-supported sa atong mga partner schools ang EduKAR Gensan as a program of our local government. I would also like to thank ang atong 18th Council, our Committee Chairperson on Education Councilor Lita Nuñez and former Vice Mayor Nograles nga wala gyud reklamo pagdugang nato ug scholars, diretso gyud gi aprobahan,” the Mayor said.
